Supporting PNG Community Rangers

PAWA is proud to share that 71 kilograms of uniforms successfully made it to community rangers in Papua New Guinea, helping support their vital conservation work on the ground.

This effort would not have been possible without the generous help of our volunteers who packed the uniforms into boxes during our working bee on 1 July 2025 at Royal National Park. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy on the day, your practical support made a real difference to these Protected Area Workers.

These uniforms aren’t just shirts and shorts they provide these community rangers with dignity and respect a sense of belonging to a larger community. One which we can continue to support.

We have also received a heartfelt message from the PNG Protected Area Workers:

“... Thank you to PAWA for the uniforms...for your efforts and supports and wishes our gratitude thank you... Over 36 pairs of uniforms supplied to 6 different CBO in Papua New Guinea. 3 females Rangers or Wasmeri receive the uniforms.”

Again, thank you to all involved for demonstrating PAWA’s commitment to collaboration, generosity, and conservation beyond borders.
